Security awareness reminder
This was a phishing simulation.
You followed a link in a simulated email and reached a sign-in page. This is the point to stop and check before entering any work credentials.
Remember: Never enter your work password just because an
email asks you to open a portal, verify an account, or review an announcement.
Open the official service using a trusted bookmark or your organization’s usual portal.
What you should do next
-
1
Stop before signing in.
Check the sender and inspect the link’s destination. A familiar logo or name does not prove that a message is genuine. -
2
Report suspicious emails.
Use the approved phishing-reporting option in Outlook, if available, or follow ANC IT’s established reporting process. -
3
When in doubt, verify independently.
Contact IT using a known contact method rather than replying to the email or using the contact details inside it.
There is no need to feel embarrassed. Simulations help everyone
practise spotting suspicious messages in a safe environment. The goal is to pause,
verify, and report—not to blame employees.
